Stark Varg Battery
The Stark VARG battery is the heart of the bike’s electric powertrain, delivering the energy needed for its high-performance electric motor and demanding off-road riding. Designed specifically for the Stark VARG platform, the battery combines high energy capacity with advanced battery management technology to provide strong, consistent performance throughout a riding session. Whether you need an OEM replacement battery, a spare pack, or are looking to keep your VARG ready for longer riding days, choosing the right Stark VARG battery is essential for maintaining the bike’s performance, range, and reliability. There are two main capacity types of Stark Varg lithium-ion battery packs. The original 6.5 kWh pack and the upgraded 7.2 kWh Gen 2 pack.
6.5 kWh Battery Pack
- Capacity: 6,500 Wh (400 cells, 100S4P architecture)
- Nominal Voltage: 360V (Max 420V)
- Casing: Magnesium honeycomb “Flying V” design
Stark Varg 7.2 kWh Battery Pack
- Capacity: 7.2 kWh (provides roughly 10% to 20% increased range over the 6.5 kWh version)
- Nominal Voltage: 360V (Max 420V)
- Casing: Advanced air-cooled magnesium honeycomb structural case
A 7.2 KW/H 100 series 4 power construction. A proprietary development assembled in-house at Stark Future with a self-developed Battery Management System (BMS). It also features a board that controls the voltage and also the temperature of the battery. The battery itself is lined by a patented magnesium honeycomb case with a patented cell holder structure. The vented dual action valve that releases air through a low-pressure system and then also acts as a safety mechanism if there is a problem with the battery is also patented.
Charging Speed Specifications
Depending on the type of stark varg charger you use, different batteries can charge to 100% at different times.
- Using a 240V Outlet (Level 2 / Standard European or US Dryer Plug)
- 6.5 kWh Pack: Fully charges in less than 2 hours.
- 7.2 kWh Pack: Fully charges in exactly 2 hours.
- Power Draw: Draws a maximum of 3,300 to 3,500 Watts (16 Amps).
- Using a 120V Outlet (Standard US Household Plug via Adapter)
- 6.5 kWh Pack: Fully charges in roughly 3 to 3.5 hours.
- 7.2 kWh Pack: Fully charges in 3.5 to 5 hours depending on how low the cell balance is.
- Power Draw: Limits the max power draw to around 1,500 to 1,800 Watts to avoid tripping standard household breakers.
